Wingate Plantation Wedding

Congrats to Kelly & Kevin on their Wingate Plantation wedding this past weekend!! Many of my couples are high school sweethearts, which is always the absolute sweetest thing!!  But Kelly & Kevin’s love goes back even further to middle school!!  How incredibly “meant to be” is this love story?!!!!  Because they grew up in a military family, they moved away from each other in high school.  Years later they were able to reconnect at college!  And their journey brought them to Charleston for a gorgeous wedding at Wingate Plantation on Johns Island.  They wanted a relaxed, fun, and romantic feel to the day, and Wingate did not disappoint.  Their ceremony took place under these majestic live oak trees, which couldn’t have been any more romantic!!  Kelly also chose very romantic touches for her reception design.  She went with a color palette of soft grey and blush combined with lots of greenery.  Samantha Anderson Events did an amazing job creating this soft and romantic feel by draping the live oak trees in flowy fabric and hanging lots of greenery from the chandeliers.  It was so breathtaking!!  Lux & Union provided gorgeous florals with blush accents to bring Kelly’s vision to life!  It was the perfect evening, and it was a joy to watch this couple have such a great time dancing all night to Island Sound Music, who has one of the best playlists I’ve ever heard!!  I’m so happy for this really deserving couple!!
