Congrats to Chase & Maggie on their Lowndes Grove Wedding this past weekend!  This wedding was full of twists and turns, excitement, and lots of unique details! Their wedding date in and of itself was a sweet tribute to Maggie’s parents, who will now share their wedding anniversary date.  Oysters were also a big theme of the day!  Chase and Maggie have been collecting oyster shells since their first date in Boston, and Chase proposed to Maggie by presenting her ring in an oyster shell on the beach of course!  Although, this almost went terribly wrong when Maggie’s excitement got the best of her and she slapped the shell out of Chase’s hands. Fortunately, his quick reflexes kept the ring out of the sand.  Whew!  So oyster shell centerpieces, chandeliers, and cake decorations were in order!  Let us not forget the beloved doodles either!  It was absolutely a must that Lucy, their Goldendoodle, and Ruger, their Bernedoodle, be in the wedding!  While Ruger is only six months old, I had met Lucy last year for Chase and Maggie’s engagement pictures.  She was an absolute doll and Ruger did not disappoint either.  These are two of the most beautiful and sweet animals I’ve ever photographed! Last but not least, was the grand entrance of Maggie and her father in a vintage racing Bentley before she walked down the isle!  I could go and on about this wedding day.  The vows, the choreographed dances, the illuminated “FINALLY” sign, etc… This was a beautifully designed and super fun wedding day!!  Congrats to these guys!!  It was the perfect day!!

Congrats to Tyler and Katherine on their Second Presbyterian and Cedar Room wedding this past weekend! The day began at the gorgeous William Aiken House in downtown Charleston.  This 18th century mansion defines southern charm with its sweeping ballrooms, parlors, and lush private grounds.  Katherine slipped into her stunning Hayley Paige gown in the beautifully restored Gothic styled carriage house.  Katherine chose unique and trendy bridesmaid dresses in an iridescent stone gray and blue.  Beth from Wildflowers Inc designed the most beautiful lose bouquets made with white flowers and greenery.  I only wish their was some way to infuse this blog post with the amazing smell of these gorgeous flowers!  For a sentimental touch, Katherine’s bouquet was wrapped with her grandmother’s monogrammed handkerchief.  To celebrate the marriage, all the guests gathered at the Cedar Room for a fun reception where everyone enjoyed the 17 South Band!  I couldn’t be more happy for this sweet couple!  Congratulations to you both!

Congrats to Chad and Kristin on their Cypress Trees Wedding this past weekend in Edisto.  While celebrating their anniversary last fall, Chad took Kristin to one of their favorite restaurants to celebrate!  Chad was able to play it cool, but dessert came with a special message.  “Marry Me” was written on the plate!  While wedding planning, they fell in love with Cypress Trees Plantation in Edisto.  Really, how can you not fall in love with this beautiful family home?  This plantation has been home to generations of the same family and is a place of warmth and beauty!  Kristin’s vision was for a rustic, southern, and traditional wedding.  Kristin picked out Salmon bridesmaid dresses and paired them with blue and white seersucker striped suits.  This was the perfect complement to the cotton boutonnieres, blue table linens, and burlap table runners.  Kristin also used lots and lots of greenery for that romantic feel!  It was such a gorgeous day and I’m so happy for this truly sweet couple!  Congrats guys! You totally deserve the absolute best!! 🙂Cypress Trees Wedding

We had the best time this weekend photographing Sam & Madison’s Old Village Engagement Session!  Sam and Madison grew up here and wanted to incorporate their charming home town into their engagement session!  Our first stop was the Pitt Street Pharmacy which Sam frequented as a kid for their grill cheese!  We made our way down to Pitt Street Bridge and then finished up with a powder paint session at Edwards Park, which truly showcases their playful and fun relationship!!  I am always so happy when couples take the time to add meaning to their engagement sessions!  Congrats guys!!  I’m so happy for you!

Congrats to Elly & Jamie on their Historic Rice Mill wedding this past weekend!  This adorable couple wanted a wedding that was romantic, classic, and elegant.  Elly’s design consisted of pale sage green bridesmaid dresses with light pink florals.  The ceremony space was beautifully decorated with a floral hanging art installation.  The table centerpieces were made from white lanterns, lots of greenery, and gorgeous florals in pales pinks and white.  Allison from Charleston Weddings by Allison did an amazing job bring Elly’s vision to life!  Her stunning bouquet was designed by Charleston Blooms, and I just adored the use of greenery for that soft and romantic feel!  I also love sentimental touches and meaningful details.  Elly wore her grandmother’s garter and a pearl bracelet that was a gift to her grandmother from her grandfather.  Those sweet touches truly make the day special.  The evening was so much fun with the Travis Allison Band and a special highlight was seeing the father of the bride play drums throughout the night!!  This wedding day was such a joy to witness and photograph!!  I’m so happy for these two!! Congrats!!!

    Beth Napierala - Hello Nicole,

First, I just wanted to let you know how much we appreciate all of the time you put into taking Elly and Jamie’s wedding photos. You were there until the very end of the night and we were amazed at your dedication to getting every detail. Thank you , thank you

Next, BEAUTIFUL! No other way to say it! They made me cry once again as I viewed them today. Our last of four children to get married and not easy planning from Ohio but you and the others involved in the wedding/reception made it all so special.

Lastly, We look forward to viewing the remainder of the photos and wish you the best in all ways…personal and business. Life gets busy but know that you have a wonderful talent that make folks slow down and appreciate the memories you have captured…
